My husband came up with our daughter's name in a moment of inspiration on a flight from Melbourne to London when I was 23 weeks pregnant. It is Catrin Elinor. He is Welsh and we were choosing Welsh names. I thought it was lovely but as I was convinced I was having a boy I didn't really think much about it until she arrived!

With my first we had decided by the time i was around 6 months pregnant - Girl = Eleanor & Boy = Oliver. She was a girl!!

With my son, we had a list of about 4 names and we finally settled on Toby about 4 hours after he was born.

With my Dd we didn't name her until 2 days before leaving hospital.

With my son it was the same!!!

We had names that we liked for both of them, but once we saw them as little people, those ideas changed because they just didn't suit them!

We hadn't discussed finding out the sex at my 20 week scan so it was a surprise when my partner asked. They would only tell us if both agreed to know, so I eventually agreed. On the way home DP came up with CJ and I told him no child of mine was going to have only initials on the birth certificate  After a couple of weeks we compromised and went with Chelsea Jacqueline, DP telling me that he would always call her CJ anyway....nearly 4 years later and he's always called her Chelsea!

Hubby and i came up with DD's first name while sitting outside a doctors surgery, when i was about 6 months pregnant. (It was a Grace medical clinic.), her second name (Audrey), i had chosen already, when i was about 3 months along, Audrey was the name of one of my treasured clients that passed away in Early March of last year. (Before becoming a stay at home mum and a WAHM i was a community nurse.) Hence came the name Grace Audrey for DD who is now 11 months old.
